Welcome to Lesson 6, on the organization of the data elements gathered to create Process Flow Diagrams. In this lesson we will introduce the Process Flow Matrix and the Mixed Model Process Flow Diagram as core line design tools.
Here’s what we will be covering in this lesson:
1. How to create a Process Flow Matrix. Once all of your Process Flow Diagrams have been created, this is the next step in the Mixed Model Line Design method.
2. How to use a Process Flow Matrix. Creating it is one thing, but you also need to know how to use it, and what it’s used for.
3. How to build your Mixed Model Process Flow Diagram. The goal is to end up with one consolidated PFD, called the Mixed Model Process Flow Diagram.
