In this first requirement in the exam portion of the Mixed Model Material Management Certification program you are asked to provide evidence of a project that you have worked on, or to complete a sample project based on data that we will provide to you. The first option is the best since it is evidence that you are actually achieving tangible benefits from your mixed-model training!
There are three pieces of information that you need to upload to complete this first exam task:
- Sample of your Plan For Every Part worksheet. This should be provided in Excel format, and include at least 25 item numbers.
- Target inventory calculations for the 25 items in the PFEP.
- A sample Material Delivery map. This is a floor plan that shows actual or proposed material delivery routes. This can be added as a worksheet in your Line Design workbook.
The information that you upload cannot be see by anyone other than your Lean Design Studio mentor and yourself. Feel free, however, to “disguise” your data if you are not comfortable sharing actual line design information like part numbers and inventory quantities.
Send us an email requesting a data packet if you don’t have your own data to work with. We’ll provide you with some sample input data that you can use to create the three required documents.
